e in Fort Dodge and this June will be celebrating their 32nd wedding anniversary. Shelly first worked as the director for Webster County Day Care before starting a lifelong and inspired teaching career initially at Sacred Heart Middle School and eventually working for Saint Edmond Catholic Schools for over 20 years. Shelly was creative and compassionate educator with a firm belief in Saint Edmond's mission statement and Catholic values. She was also a strong supporter of the "Respect for Life" foundation. On "jeans day" students could find her sporting her Iowa Hawkeye and Minnesota Viking gear, the teams she cheered for besides the Gaels. She was dedicated to her Saint Edmond family, faculty and students. Above all, Shelly was dedicated and devoted to her faith and family, as well as advocating Catholic values. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and educator. She was extremely proud of her loving daughter, Ashley. All who knew Shelly will remember her beautiful smile, calm demeanor, gracious and caring spirit, witty sense of humor. She will forever be remembered as a beautiful person inside and out. Shelly will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, but find comfort that she will continue to bless over those who cherish her memory. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be left to Saint Edmond Catholic Schools.
