Lucy Ann Lambeck

Lucy Ann Lambeck, 64, Ashwaubenon, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at Willow Creek Adult Family Home. She was born on March 23, 1952 in Oshkosh to the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Tremain) Lambeck. Lucy was born with Down's Syndrome. She attended Dale, Oaklawn, Boyd and Grange Schools in Oshkosh. Following the family move to Ashwaubenon in fall 1970, Lucy attended Donovan School, graduating in 1973. Lucy lived with her parents until 1985, when she moved to Oaks Family Care Centers Damian Home. She enjoyed the company of her housemates, Oaks' sponsored annual summer picnics at Bay Beach Amusement Park and Christmas suppers, as well as occasional special events. She competed in Special Olympics in her younger years as a member of the Oaks team. She was a client of the Community Service Center, BARC Industries and ASPIRO between 1973 and 2014. Lucy moved to Willow Creek Home in October 2014, where staff provided compassionate care as she declined. Lucy is survived by her sisters, Ruth Round of Arapahoe, WY and Alice Irvine of Chilton, WI; sister-in-law, Linda Lambeck of Pensacola, FL; brother, Paul Lambeck of Sturgeon Bay, WI; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Damian and Willow Creek Home's staff and former housemates; and the staff and friends at ASPIRO. In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Herrington; brother, Charles Lambeck; brother-in-law, Thurlow Round; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Lambeck; and nephews, Michael and Joseph McNeil. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 4:00 pm to the time of funeral service at 6:00 pm. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Chapel Mausoleum beside her parents. A memorial fund has been established in Lucy's name to ASPIRO and Unity Hospice.
