Viola C. Miller

Viola C. Miller, 84, of Keokuk, died at 3:00 AM Friday, March 17, 2017, at River Hills Village in Keokuk. Viola was born April 14, 1932, in Keokuk, the daughter of William H. and Emma M. Sapp Stoops. She lived in Keokuk most of her life. She attended Calvary Foursquare Church until she was no longer able. Viola is survived by two sons, Rodney R. Horton and Ronald D. Horton Sr., both of Keokuk; daughter Constance Garcia of Burlington, Iowa; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister Margaret Crabtree of Texas; two half-brothers George Rossi and Tom Rossi; and two half-sisters Georgia Meyers and Emma Jean Rossi. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons Tim McCrory and Robert Woods; two brothers Bill Stoops and Robert Stoops; one granddaughter Carissa Horton and a sister Helen Nye. Visitation will be after 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 22 at DeJong-Greaves at 917 Blondeau with family meeting friends from 5 to 7. A Celebration of her life will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 23, 2017, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street with Pastor Dan Davis officiating.
