Sydney Danielle Larson, of Thompson, IA was called to heaven Saturday, February 21, 2015 Funeral services for Sydney will be 10:30am Friday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Thompson with Pastors Lynn Noel and Katie Pals officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thompson. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8:00 pm also at the church. Sydney Danielle Larson, the daughter of Dan Larson and Shelly Hamson, was born August 27, 1998 in Mason City, IA. Sydney was confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Thompson. Sydney was currently attending North Iowa High School and was active in sports. Sydney played volleyball and basketball throughout high school. Growing up, Sydney always had a big heart for animals and a special love for horses and enjoyed the wide open space on the farm. She loved to stop to see Grandma Larson to say hi and visit. Special interests in the dangerous inches of stilletos heels, and the endless amount of makeup that consumed the bathroom counter. her mischievous grin that always gave away that she was up to something. Sydney was always connected to her phone, sending friends funny, and sometimes unexpected pictures. She had a life long passion of being a model, and with the collection of high heels, she was set. She was a social butterfly, loved being surrounded by friends, and loved her time joking and laughing with siblings. Sydney was currently employed at All-Pro Detail of Buffalo Center. Sydney is survived by her parents Shelly and Mike Hamson, and Dan Larson and Kelly Pederson; Grandmother Eileen Larson, and Gerald and Glorian Hamson; siblings Alannah and Reece Larson, Chris and special friend Shannon Steinke, Micah Hamson; Alexys, Olivia and Benjamin Pederson; Aunts, uncles, and several cousins; nephew; many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Carroll Larson and maternal grandparents Chuck and Gilda Steinfeldt.
