WESLACO - Hortencia Rojas, 78, passed away at her residence in Weslaco. Hortencia was born on May 25th, 1938 to Servando and Guadalupe Rojas. She grew up four brothers and three sisters. Hortencia would have five children of her own, Hortencia, Viviana, Cynthia, Adrian, and Francisco. She loved working in her yard and making sure her plants were well taken care of. She loved to clean house and she wanted everything in it's place. She also loved getting dressed up and having her hair and jewelry just perfect. She also loved to play bingo, loteria and scratch offs. She enjoyed listening to music. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren. Hortencia is preceded in death by her parents, Servando and Guadalupe Rojas and her brother, Baudillio Rojas. a Jr., Alexa N. Davila, Rodrigo R. Davila, and Ava A. Mendez, great grandson, Jayden G. Garza, her sisters, Ofelia Santos (Roberto+), Josefina Perez (Juan+), Noelia Salazar (Manuel), brothers, Ricardo Rojas (Delila), Octavio Rojas (Concepcion), and Virgilio Rojas (Dolores). Hortencia will always be remembered as a loving, caring, and supportive, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28th, from 3-9pm, with a rosary at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated at 2pm, at St. Pius Catholic Church in Weslaco. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
