Mr. Robert Timmerman, 53, of Hillsboro died at 4:49 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his home.
Born April 20, 1963 in Burlington, he was the son of James Timmerman and Gail (Smith) Braun.
Mr. Timmerman was an ironworker for Union Local #577 for over 25 years. He was of the Jewish faith and loved cars and working on them. He was a cat lover and enjoyed coin and precious metal collection, and computers. He also enjoyed woodworking and built his own home. Mr. Timmerman was a simple man and was a hardworking, highly intelligent and honest person.
Survivors include his mother, Gail Braun of Burlington; three brothers, John Timmerman and David Braun both of Burlington and Patrick Timmerman of West Burlington; one niece, Jamie Timmerman of St. Paul, Minnesota; and two nephews, Caleb Timmerman of St. Paul and Alexander Timmerman of Yazoo City, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The graveside funeral service and interment for Mr. Timmerman will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 7th, in Latty Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter in Fort Madison.
