Jon Richard Greer

Jon R. Greer of Norma Court, died Tuesday morning at the Benedictine Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Kingston on April 4, 1952 the son of Joan Greer and the late Hugh Greer. John was a graduate of Kingston High School and Ulster County Community College. He had been a graphic artist and sign maker, having been employed by Timely Signs and Gloede Neon Signs of Poughkeepsie. He was the husband of Janet Greer, they wed on July 9, 1978 John was a very faithful and active member of St. John's Episcopal Church, he had served on the Vestry, and Jon also enjoyed fishing He is survived by his wife Janet, sons Timothy and David and his partner Jennifer step children Steven Modjeska and Pamela Franklin, his siblings Scott Greer, Kathi Ellsworth, Diane Grembocki and Jann Haaland. He was Kassidy's grandfather and there are also 7 other grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, great grandfather of the late Lily Franklin. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 207 Albany Ave. on Saturday at 1 pm.
