William Raymond Loughran

William R. Loughran, 63, of Kingston, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, with his family at his side. He was born January 13, 1953 in Kingston, to the late William and Agnes (Kearney) Loughran. Bill was a Kingston High School Graduate, Class of 1970. Bill loved life and a good joke. In his younger years he traveled extensively, backpacking throughout the US, Canada and Europe. He lived in Florida and the Bahamas for many years as he had a great love of the ocean, sailing the seas and all that went with it. He returned to Kingston to be with family and worked as a bartender at many local restaurants while establishing his own paving business. He became very involved with the Sons of the American Legion, loving the camaraderie. Bill and his sense of humor will be missed by many. William is survived by his wife, Robin Martini-Loughran, his children, William "Will" Loughran, Katharina "Katie" Martini-Loughran, his siblings, Peter (Cecilia) Loughran, Mary (Bill) Carey, Loretta (Peter) Yaple, Evelyn (Kirk) Peters, Elaine (Roger) Stinemire, his mother-in-law, Petra Mac Fadden and many nieces and nephews. The funeral procession will form on Tuesday at 9am at the funeral home and proceed to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 166 Broadway, Kingston, NY, where at 10am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
