Holly Susan Sass

Holly S. Sass, 60, of Kingston, passed away on Sunday March 2nd 2014 at St. Francis Hopsital in Poughkeepsie. She was born November 24, 1953 in Kingston to the late Gilbert and Ethel (Dohnken) Gray. Holly was a Kingston High School graduate, Class of 1971. During high school she began working for The Reis Group where she worked for over 44 years. At The Reis Group she worked as an Executive Coordinator and was a Certified Insurance Counselor. Holly was a long time member of the Kingston Kiwanis Club where she served as President in 2006 and was recognized as the "Kiwanian of the Year" in 2007. Additionally, she was recognized by the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce as the "Irish Person of the Year" in 2009. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kingston. Holly was a great animal lover, she loved traveling and seeing Broadway plays. She is survived by her adopted sister, Cindy Graney, her best friend, Sally Mazzuca, numerous other close friends and co-workers, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gray and her nieces, Phyllis Hartigan, Elaine Lasher, and Sandy Lord. Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where friends may visit on Sunday March 9th from 1-5pm. The service will take place on Monday March 10th at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
