Waunakee – On Monday, April 17, 2017, Doris Standish was born into eternal life and joined her departed loved ones in heaven. Doris was born on November 28, 1916 in Buffalo Township, Marquette County, WI to William and Mae (Sutfin) Zuhlke. She enjoyed a wonderful childhood playing, working and growing up with her seven brothers and seven sisters. She was the last one of her family to die.
On March 30, 1946 she married Donald W. Standish. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She is survived by three of her children, Ron (Jay) Standish, Jan Richards and Steve (Shirley) Standish and son-in-law, Jim Ely. She is further survived by grandchildren Rachael Page, Rebecca Ely, Mike (Dorothy) Richards, Michelle (Damian) Wimmer, Andy Standish, Sarah (Dale) Kloiber, Daniel Standish, and Todd (Chris) Ebert and Tammy Marr; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Ely, her son, Harold Ebert, a son-in-law, Wesley Richards, seven brothers and seven sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Waunakee Manor. We cannot say enough good things about great care she received there. We also wish to thank the Dean staff of Dr. Gregory Motl and nurse Terri Patwell.
