Robert J Munz

BLACK EARTH-Robert J. Munz, age 91, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017.  He was born on October 23, 1925, in Madison, the son of Norbert and Marie (Kahl) Munz.  He was united in marriage to Ann Gallagher.  She preceded him in death in 1966.  Bob worked at the Madison Public Schools as a maintenance engineer.  He enjoyed hunting, rock collecting and spending time outdoors.  Bob is survived by his children, Don (Kim) Munz, Paul (Kathy) Munz, Thomas Sr. (Julie)Munz, Mary Jean Olson, Carrie Munz, Janice (Bert) Sorenson and Jo Ann Munz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister Cleo Hoffman and two brothers, Louie Munz and David (Kathy) Munz.  In addition to his wife Ann Munz, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bud and Harland Munz and two sisters, Lorraine Linsmeier and Margie Christianson.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 with Father Thomas Kelley presiding.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visistation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9AM until the time of the Mass.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made ...[more]
