Adela Ferus Schlipp, 97, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away April 28, 2017.
She was born in Kaschken, Germany on March 26, 1920. In 1925, she traveled with her family to the United States. She resided in Benton Harbor, Michigan where she attended school at Benton Harbor High School.
Adela was married to Henry Schlipp on October 3, 1936.
She received her United States citizenship on September 28, 1945.
Adela was a member of Holy Trinity church in Port Charlotte.
Adela had a passion for gardening, reading and listening to music.
She relocated to Punta Gorda, Florida in June, 1995 where she enjoyed spending time with her sister and friends swimming, playing cards and going on excursions.
She is survived by a son, Richard Schlipp and wife Beverly, a daughter Diane Volpi and husband Mark, grandsons Robert Schlipp and Donald Schlipp. Many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers Gustav and Helm Ferus and two sisters, Toni Kuntz and Dorothy Kelm.
