Salvatora Marie "Sally" Degan (nee Piazza) age 85, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Weslyan Village, Elyria, following a lengthy illness.
Born October 1, 1931 in Lakewood, she lived in the Lorain and Elyria her entire life. She was in the first class to graduate from Elyria Catholic in 1950.
Sally worked as a seamstress and enjoyed sewing. Over many years, she had sewn countless hats that she donated to cancer patients. She also loved to cook and visit flea markets.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Ron Degan in 2007; parents, Dominic and Mary (Campagna) Piazza; a brother, Charles D. Piazza; a sister, Antoinette Bockmore; grandchildren, Dominic J. Penson Jr. and Marcus A. White; and a great grandson, Shane Brown.
