DEFOREST - Ruth Ann Hanna, age 75, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, surrounded by her children at Agrace Hospice Center. Ruth was born on January 26, 1942 in Eagle, WI to Clarence and June Littlejohn. She grew up in Little Prairie, WI and graduated from East Troy High School in 1960. Ruth married her soul-mate, Thelmer Hanna, on January 17, 1964 at United Methodist Church in Little Prairie, WI. They had five children together before Thelmer's passing in 1974. Ruth devoted her life to raising her children and enjoying her six grandchildren. She enjoyed women's retreats and bible studies through her church in addition to her many hobbies. Ruth loved to crochet, needle point, read, play bingo, and play cribbage. She was kind, generous, forgiving and full of spirit.
Ruth is survived by her children, Helen (Don) Brausen, Mary (Jerry) Humphrey, Margaret (Gary) Trainor, and Steve Hanna; grandchildren, Matthew and Hanna Brausen, Michael Hanna and Brandi Dahlk, Alex and Bailey Hanna; brothers, Robert (Carol) Littlejohn and Dan (Heather) Littlejohn. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11: 00 AM at NORWAY GROVE MEMORIAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 820 River Road, DeForest, with Rev. Stacy Gahlman-Schroeder presiding. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
