Steven L. Christner

Steven L. Christner, 49, of Middletown, formerly of Muncie, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born May 12, 1968, in Muncie, the son of Roger and Elizabeth " Liz" (Ray) Christner. Steve had worked for over thirty years at Midwest Metal Products as a production supervisor. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em and watching Steelers football games; Steve was their #1 fan. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 19, of Muncie. Steve is survived by his wife, Kim (Hale) Christner; mother, Elizabeth "Liz" (Ray) Christner; brother, Mark (Darlene) Christner; step-daughters, Jessica (Dustin) Armstrong and Haley (Joshua) Anderson; grandchildren, Carter Armstrong, Natalie Armstrong, Rylee Anderson, and Beckum Anderson; niece, Mackenzie Christner and nephew, Tyler Christner; special dogs, Bizby, Zoe, and Rudy. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Christner, and father-in-law, Willard Robert Hale, Jr. Services will be Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 officiated by Robert Hale and Rev.
