Rick Lapp

DEFOREST - Rick Lapp, of DeForest, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, May 25, 2017. He was born on Nov. 26, 1950, in Medford, the son of Harry Lapp and Helen (Frahmann) Lapp. He graduated from Abbotsford High School with the class of 1968. Rick proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975, continued his studies and graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 1976.  He was united in marriage to Patrice Schuster on Jan. 27, 1973. Rick worked for Lawrence Brothers in Sterling, Ill., and continued with other companies within Central Wisconsin and in the Madison area over the years.  He retired in 2013 and was able to enjoy being outdoors whether it was fishing, asparagus picking or spending time with his family. Rick also enjoyed camping, canoeing and hiking around Wisconsin and loved watching the Badgers and Packers. He is survived by three daughters, Ryan (Travis) West, Jordan (Charles) Kostlevy and Kellen Lapp; son, Dylan Lapp; eight grandchildren, Annika, Alex, Marah, Jayden, Julia, Easton, Andreas and Mackenzie; brother, Donovan (Sharon) Lapp; twin sisters, Pat (Bob) Schneider and Nancy Stanley; sisters-in-law, Pam (Jerry) Offerdahl and Kathy Schuster; and many ni...[more]
