Mrs. Regina L. "Jean" Butler, age 95, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. She was born on August 8, 1921 in Louisville, KY to Harry and Margaret (Clay) Adams. Jean worked Fritz's Drug Store and was a member of Hope Reformed Church. She loved her family dearly and treasured the time spent with them. Jean enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, bingo and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She first married Emery Burns, who preceded her in death on January 8, 1975. Jean then married Robert Butler, who also preceded her in death on January 5, 2004. SURVIVORS include her son, Dan (Shelley) Burns of Ft. Myers, FL; seven step-children, Robert Butler, George (Sherry) Butler, Mike (Sheryl) Butler, Phyllis Stimson, Patsy Schneider, Nettie (Dan) Tilden, Mary Ellen (Robert) Woodward; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mable (Ray) Smith, and Betty (Mel) Brown. Schuyler. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11AM Friday, June 2, 2017 at Hope Reformed Church (1878 Evanston Ave.) with Pastor Steven Hyma officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 5-8 PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210. Burial will take place in Restlawn Cemetery.
