n EMT for the Pickerel Fire and Rescue and taught EMT and CPR classes at Northcentral Technical College. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also obtained his private pilot license and enjoyed flying in the area. In addition to his wife survivors include a son, Ted (Kristie) Jacobsen Jr. of Pearson; a daughter, Kelly (Robert Jr.) Stimac of Antigo; a son-in-law, Geno Schisel of Burlington, IA; nine grandchildren, Bobby (Melissa) Stimac of Elcho, Sammy Stimac of Antigo, Brandon Gross of Chicago, Caden Schisel of Burlington, IA, Kayla Jacobsen of Elcho, Jordan Hackbarth of Merrill, Kyle Jacobsen, Brennan Livermore and Bryce Burkhart all of Pearson; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Renee) Jacobsen of Plover and Earl (Joyce) Jacobsen of California; a brother-in-law, Darrel (Nancy) Bauknecht of Crandon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Schisel; a grandson, Ryan Gross; and a sister, Jeanette Gruchalski. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Pickerel with Rev. Donald Engebretson and Rev. Donald Sprengler officiating. Burial will take place in Pearson Cemetery where Elcho veterans will conduct military honors.
