A celebration of Corey's life was held Friday, June 9, 2017, from 5 to 8 PM at Oakcrest Funeral Services Winter Chapel, Buffalo Center. Corey Dean Williams was born June 8, 1965, in Fairmont, MN, son of Brad and Diane (Nutt) Williams. He grew up in Trimont, MN where he attended school. In earlier years he helped his dad on the farm and he held a variety of jobs. Corey began working at Asmus Farm Service in Rake in 2005, and was their warehouse foreman. He married Julie Mitthun on May 28, 2010, in Buffalo Center. They would close up their home for the summer and spend it at Three Fingers Campground near Forest City. Corey loved to sit around the fire with his family and friends, fishing, and riding motorcycle. He was a hard worker and was known to be able to fix anything. Corey Williams died Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Pequot Lakes, MN, at the age of 51. He is also survived by his mom, Diane (Ken) Vonnahme of Buffalo Center; his father, Brad (Connie) Williams of Trimont, MN; a brother, Terry (Shelly)Williams of Albertville, MN; two sisters, Jody (Todd) Jordan, of Winnebago, MN, Jennifer (Bradey) Schmidt of Welcome, MN; a step-sister, Shelley Vonnahme of Alta; his father-in-law, Marlin Mitthun of Buffalo Center; brother-in-law Kurt (Michelle) Mitthun of Belmond; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Mitthun; and his brother-in-law, Jackie Mitthun.
