ohn continued to work for Kodak, retiring after 31 years. He enjoyed a good beer, cruising and camping with his wife, ice hockey games, hunting and fishing stories with his buddies, and volunteering with the Colorado Division of Wildlife. He was the family protector, cherished his wife, loved his sons and their wives and was amazed by his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Ceil of nearly 45 years, two sons, Lee and wife Charity Damschroder of Centennial, and James and wife Alissa of Denver, grandchildren Violet, Max and Jack. Sister, Diana Damschroder of Richmond, Virginia, nephew Chris Patterson of Madison, Wisconsin, niece Jenny Edgerton of Stow, Mass. and Brother-in-law Roger Johnson of Astor, Florida.
The family thanks Pathways Hospice for their care.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held later. In John's remembrance, the family suggests anonymous random acts of kindness.
