William "Bill" Eichstadt

William Richard Eichstadt was born on April 30, 1919 in Jeffers, Minnesota. He was the son of August and Emma (Wrase) Eichstadt. William "Bill" attended country school close to his lifelong home in Amboy Township. Many people in the community knew him as "Louie." His marriage to Anne McGill took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 12, 1948. They lived on the family farm together until Anne's untimely death in 1985. William continued living on the farm until February of 2007 when he became a resident at Valley View Manor in Lamberton, Minnesota. He lived there until passing away on Saturday morning, March 27, 2010 at the Springfield Medical Center at the wonderful age of 90. William was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, Minnesota and in previous years he served on church council positions. William was a great caretaker of his children and grandchildren. He was always very proud and supportive of them.
