Larry O. Curry

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 19, 2017, at the West Bend Cemetery, West Bend, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM, Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, LuVerne, IA. Larry Owen Curry, the son of Owen Peter and Darlene Mae (Mitsven) Curry, was born September 30, 1952, Algona, IA. He graduated LuVerne High School in 1970. On December 29, 1970, he was united in marriage to Linda Bleuer in West Bend, IA. The couple lived in the LuVerne area, where Larry continued to farm with his dad and brother on the family farm. Together he and Linda raised two children and he enjoyed his community and raising his family there. Larry enjoyed being outside, working in his vegetable garden, planting various plants and flowers around the house and tending to his not so productive fruit trees. He was an enthusiastic Iowa Hawkeye fan, a Jimmy Johnson NASCAR fan and enjoyed Casino trips with Linda. When he was younger, Larry also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Curry of LuVerne; son, John (Kim) Curry of Livermore; daughter, Jackie (Brian) Gambell of West Bend; grandkids, Melissa, McKayla, Mady, Brittney, Ashleigh (Dylan), Adam, Paige and Bryana; great grandkids, Conner and Camden; brother, Wayne (Gabi) Curry, sisters, Diane, Paula and Bev; as well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
