Lucy Gonzalez
Lorain - Lucy V. (nee Arzuaga) Gonzalez, 85, entered the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 12, 1932 to her loving parents, Luis and Petra (nee Diaz) Arzuaga in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.
Lucy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and her church. She was wonderful homemaker and she especially enjoyed crocheting and reading and sharing scripture. Lucy was a member of the House of Praise in Lorain. She worked for Southview High School in the Library for many years and for St. Joseph Hospital.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Juan Jr. (Diana) Gonzalez, Joey (Margaret) Gonzalez, and Deacon Edgar (Christine) Gonzalez; sister, Carmen (Felix) Lazado; brother-in-law, Domingo Ortiz; grandmother to Joe, Joseph, Nathaniel, Eddie, Jacqlynn, and Jessica; great grandma to, Brody, Jahzara, and Nasir; and she was loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Petra Arzuaga; husband, Rev. Juan Gonzalez of 60 years; daughter, Melissa Gonzalez; brother, Jose (Sophie) Arzuaga; and sister, Betty Ortiz.
