Michael Dean Moore

Michael Moore, 67, of Indianapolis, departed this life Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home. He was born September 9, 1949 in Brazil, IN to the late Donald and Barbara (Aitken) Moore. Michael was a 1967 graduate of Speedway High School and then earned his business degree from Indiana University in 1972. Michael worked in banking following his graduation and in 1987 he and his partner, Tony Ellis, established Morellis Cleaners in Indianapolis. Through dedication and hard work he grew his business over thirty years to nine Indianapolis locations. When not working at one of his stores, he enjoyed billiards, reminiscing with family and friends and baking his famous pies and cookies. Michael was an accomplished pool player, and a member of American Poolplayers Association since 1996. Michael is survived by his son, Nathan Moore; grandchildren, Jakob Moore and Gail Leal; siblings, Marty (Dixie) Moore, Donna (Scott) Jones, Doug (Julie) Moore and Tom (Shonda) Moore and his life partner, Lori Cummings as well as a host of beloved friends and grateful customers.
