Dwight Dittus, 83, of rural Henderson, IA, passed away June 27, 2017 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.Time of Gathering Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Malvern, IA.

Dwight Allen Dittus, son of Benjamin Franklin and Vera Glee (Clark) Dittus, was born on February 27, 1934 in Henderson, Iowa. He graduated from Henderson High School and attended Northern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor's Degree as a Botanist. Dwight served in the United States Army and received an Army of Occupation Medal (Germany) and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a service manager for ISUZU until his retirement.
Dwight and Rachel Elizabeth Garmane were united in marriage on October 21, 1967 in Des Plaines, Illinois. Their family grew to include his daughter Debbie and the couple were later blessed with two children, Veronica and Christopher.

Society Museum where he served on the board as vice president. He enjoyed reading and attending any of the activities held at the Indian Creek Museum. Dwight loved boating at the Lake of the Ozarks and spending time outdoors.
Dwight passed away on June 27, 2017 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 83 years and 4 months. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dwight is survived by wife of 49 years, Rachel Dittus of Henderson; daughters, Debbie Jungels and husband Bob of Addison, IL, and Veronica Dittus of Henderson; and son Christopher Dittus and wife Shannon of Ashland, NE; five grandchildren, Ryan Jungels, Kelsey Jungels, Tyler Dittus, Hunter Dittus and Devin Rodgerson; other relatives; and a host of friends.
