Pauline Wetjen
Williamsburg-Pauline Ameilia Gesena Wetjen was born April 1, 1927 in Williamsburg, Iowa the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Doehrmann) Glandorf. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School. Pauline was united in marriage to Eldon Wetjen on October 24, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived on the farm east of Williamsburg, until moving to Highland Ridge. Pauline helped on the farm and raised their five sons. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and took weekly church tapes to the Amana nursing home for 22 years. Pauline enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and quilting, but her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Pauline passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg at the age of 90 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Sarah Wetjen and a brother, Mervin Glandorf. Celebration of Life Service will be 1:15 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Memorials have been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church, L.I.S. or Highland Ridge Activity Fund.
