Jean G. Rohner
MADISON-Jean G. Rohner, age 63, of Madison, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on July 19, 1953, in Madison, the daughter of George Starr and Clara (Hammen) Starr. Jean graduated from East High School in 1971 and was an honor roll student. She married Alfred A. Rohner in 1978. Together they had two children, Theresa and Michael. Fred then preceded her in death in 1982. Jean worked for American Family Insurance for many years and retired from Oscar Mayer Foods. She was a very hard working, single mother of two. Jean's children and grandchildren were her world. She enjoyed family get togethers and cookouts. She liked going to the grandchildren's games and activities. She enjoyed a Brandy 7. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Gladys Geishirt, JoAnn Conners and Audrey Keller; and two brothers, Richard Starr and George Starr Jr. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
