Elizabeth "Betty" Wright

MONONA-Elizabeth Florence "Betty "Wright, age 90, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017.  She was born in Madison, on March 30, 1927, to John and Johanna Skolaski.  Betty married Donald Robert Wright on May 22, 1948. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, St Anne's Society and the choir.  Betty loved working jigsaw puzzles, quilting, crocheting, knitting and any other type of needle work.  She was big into social media including text, email, facebook and Twitter which amazed us all. Betty is survived by her sons, Leslie, New Berlin, Wis., Dale (Ellen), Mt Horeb, Wis.; Brian, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Carl (Shiela), Verona, Wis.;  daughter,  Jeanette Edwards, Monona, Wis.;  grandchildren, Corey (Krissy) Edwards, Eric (Nichole) Edwards, Aaron (Kylee) Wright, Johanna Wright, Lucas (Elizabeth) Wright, Jacob (Bayeshan) Wright, Ben (Shannon) Steensland, and Kyle Steensland; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Malachi, Emerson, Alexander, Evelyn, Cora, Lexi, Parker and Adelynn;  sister, Cecilia Bethel; and brother, Robert (Margaret) Skolaski. s, Eleanor Strand, and Julia Wright; three brothers, August, Richard, and Jerome Skolaski;  sisters-in-law, Lillian, Ruth, and Lucille Skolaski; brothers-in-law, Clarence Spink, Don Barnes, James Strand, Edwin Wright, and Lee Bethel; and son-in-law, Mark Edwards.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, with Father Chad Droessler presiding.  Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.   Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, and at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com
