Marcos V. Cantu, born in Rio Bravo Tamaulipas, Mexico on March 1, 1933, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2017 in Mercedes, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife: Patrocinia M. Cantu, and his parents: Marcos Cantu and Elvira Valdez. Enrique leaves behind his children: Tomas (Carmen) Cantu, Carlos (Gloria) Cantu, Norma Resendez, Anna (Pedro) Villanueva, Nora Martinez, and Marcos III (Norma) Cantu; 15 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, will continue on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 11:00am-9:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary at Vaughan Funeral Home in Donna. Funeral mass will take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Burial will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Vaughan Funeral Home of Donna is in charge of funeral arrangements.
