Thomas Lee "Tommy" Johnson, 70, of Laurel, passed away July 18, 2017, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 21, at Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel with interment to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Johnny Burnett will officiate.

Tommy was a 1963 graduate of Shady Grove High School. He worked at Masonite Corp. and retired in 2001 after 32 years. He served as Master of John Henry Wooten, Sr. Masonic Lodge 503. He was also a York Rite Mason. Tommy loved to fish and tinker around with lawn mowers. He was dubbed "Sheriff" of the neighborhood because he could be seen and heard patrolling the roads on his 4-wheeler.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Ada Adela Johnson and sister Shirley Blackledge Richard.
