Tyris J. Carter

Tyris Carter, 14, of Davenport, IA, passed away Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. Services in celebration of his life will be held at 11 am Tuesday, July25th at Third Missionary Baptist Church, 222 W. 14th St., Davenport. His family will greet friends from 10 am until time of service at the church. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is assisting his family with arrangements. Tyris was born in 2003 in Davenport, Iowa to Greg Davis and Cassandra Carter. Tyris enjoyed most everything and especially dance, basketball, x-Box, the outdoors, playing pool, girl-watching and dogs. He is survived by his parents, both of Davenport; sisters LaDaisha March of Davenport, Jaishardon Davis and Donviea Davis, both of MN and Delilah Davis of Davenport; brothers DaMarcis March, Tajun Carter, Avery Davis and Saijan "Sage" Davis, all of Davenport; grandparents Barbara Carter of Davenport, Hezekiah Thomas of Montgomery, AL and Gloria Davis of Rock Island.
