Lena Langley

Lena Langley, 96 of Haleyville, entered into rest on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Langley was born on July 1, 1921 in Marion County. She was a long-time member of St. Paul Baptist Church. Lena worked for 30 years as a housekeeper, and she enjoyed gardening in her spare time.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 12-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be at 2pm. Brother Vernon Baker and Brother Royce Brimer will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Franklin County.

Lena is survived by her sons, Charles Langley, William Langley and Eugene Langley; daughter, Betty Huckaba; she was "Mamaw" to 6 grandchildren, Tony Huckaba and his wife Melanie, Keith Huckaba, Timothy Huckaba, Samuel Langley, William Allen Langley and Wanda Nell Langley; and 3 great grandchildren, Elijah Huckaba, LaToshia Huckaba and Andrew Huckaba.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Langley; parents, Charles and Lucy Bass; son-in-law, Marshall Huckaba; and sisters, Marcella Garrison and Willa Mae Woodall.
