Francis "Frank" O'Brien

Francis "Frank" O'Brien, 59, of Sunrise, FL, passed away July 27, 2017. He was born December 18, 1957, in Philadelphia, PA, moving to South Florida over 25 years ago. Frank served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Okinawa. Since moving to Florida, he was a volunteer companion at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami for many years. Frank is survived by his beloved mother, Joan Hohrath-Hoffman; brothers, Robert Hohrath, Edward O'Brien (Joan) and James O'Brien; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Karen, Rachel, Lisa, Andrea, Jess, Kristi, Danielle, Tyler and Hunter; grandnieces and nephews, Rachel, Amanda, Danny, Julia, Dalilah, Julien, Andrew, Emily, Annabelle, Alyson, Ryan, Jacob, Konnor and Khloe. He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel O'Brien, nephew Sean Coates, and step-father, Richard Hoffman. Frank will be missed by his entire family including his aunt, Eleanor Charlton, many cousins, and friends. He was affectionately known as "Unc" to his many grandnieces and nephews. [more]
