Maria Arreguin
Maria Luz Arreguin, 95, was called to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 31, 2017. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Maria Luz was born on May 25th, 1922 in Acambaro, Guanajuato Mexico where later in life she met and married her husband David Jose Arreguin at the young age of 15. They enjoyed thirty six years of marriage. She is preceded in death by her loving husband David Jose, her sons Robert and Mike Arreguin, her daughters Beatriz Valdez and Amelia Shawber, her infant son Fidel.Maria Luz leaves behind a legacy of family which includes her 12 children: daughter in law, Lydia Arreguin, Aurora (Isaias) San Miguel, son in law Catarino Valdez, Robert (Jackie †) Arreguin , Refugio (Angie) Arreguin, Juan (Elizabeth) Arreguin, Lupe (Deena) Arreguin) David Jr. (Anabel) Arreguin, Janie (Robert) Ordaz, Raymond (Carol) Arreguin, Antonia Noriega, Fidel (Angela) Arreguin, and Ruben (Valerie) Arreguin. Maria Luz is also survived by a sister Martha and a brother Jose Argueta who resides in the state of Washington.

Texas and they migrated even further north to Ohio where she raised her family of 15 children. She will be sadly missed by all her family which also includes 120 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Maria Luz enjoyed life to the fullest where she spent many hours knitting blankets, doilies and many other items for the many grand children in her life. She also enjoyed cooking the many authentic Mexican dishes for her whole family for which she took great pride in making her famous hot tamales.
The family wishes to thank those who sent flowers and most of all the many prayers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 2pm to 9pm with a 7pm Rosary at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco.
