Diane E. Hughes, 80, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Massapequa, NY passed away August 1, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 11, 1937 to the late Charles and Rose Woods. Diane graduated from Cathedral High School in NY, NY. She was married to Spencer E. Hughes Jr on June 15, 1963. Diane had a career in modeling and dancing for various New York productions. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and had a passion for playing tennis and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Spencer (Judy), David (Cheryl), Charles (Dawn); and her grandchildren, Beth, Allison, Kelly, Spencer IV, David, Jr. and Katie. A Memorial Service will take place at Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Ave Punta Gorda, FL 33950 on Saturday, August 5 at 1pm.
