Ty Eugene Carlson

Ty Eugene Carlson, age 19 of Colfax passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Colfax Mingo High School. Burial will take place at McKeever Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the high school. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ty Carlson Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The son of Todd and Kari (McClellan) Carlson, Ty was born on January 22, 1998, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He graduated from Colfax Mingo High School in 2016 and was getting ready to start his second year at Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge. Ty was a member of the I.R.C.A., the Iowa Central Rodeo Team, FFA, Spanish Club and Goodman's Youth Group. During high school he wrestled, played football and was active in rodeos.
