Irma Massey and Sandy Rudiger; and brothers-in-law, Lee T. (Vivian) and Dave (Kristi) Massey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Helen Gorsche, Ady Taggart, and Moya Breitbach.

She retired from John Deere Dubuque Works in 1986 after 25 years of service. She and husband Bob loved hosting family and friends at their pool in Asbury, and Christmas Eve open house gatherings.

Shirley loved people and was the type of person who could talk to anyone and walk away having made a new friend. She loved golf, bowling, her "Red Hat", "Shapes", and "Betty Jane" ladies outings. She had been an active volunteer at her church, Dubuque Elks Lodge, Hospice, and Mercy Hospital.

Special thanks to Dr. Angella Kelley and nurse Jennifer; Dr. David Ringold and the staff at Finley Hospital for their excellent care; and to the Asbury Community Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorials may be directed to the Dubuque Elks Lodge #297, 9018 Military Road, Dubuque, IA 52003, in loving memory of Shirley.
