Judith Rae Swink, 79, passed away surrounded by her family at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Younkers Rehabilitation on August 13, 2017. A memorial service will be held at Eternity Church, 2000 NW 100th Street, Clive. Day and Time of services are pending. Judy was born on February 26, 1938 in Paton, Iowa, the daughter of Clyde and Betty (Trafton) Erickson. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Des Moines Technical High School. On May 1, 1965, she was united in marriage to Ralph R. Swink, I in Eagleville, MO. She worked for Des Moines Public Schools for 40 years and retired as an administrative assistant in human resources. She loved traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. She was very creative and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Judy is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Ralph; children, Ralph (Lisa Seals) Swink, II, Stephanie (David) Jones, Candi Stephen, Scott Gray and Don Witt; grandchildren, Amie Gray, Shieanne (Alan Ambers) Swink, Miranda Stephen, Colton Tew, Tristan Stephen, Braxton Swink, Stephen Jones and Ashley Jones; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Pat) Erickson, Sue (Gene) Hyler, ...[more]
