Verona D. Koth, age 89, of Galva, Iowa died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Holstein, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Hanover. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta is in charge of the arrangements.

Verona D. Wogahn was born to Henry and Doretta (Hasenwinkle) Wogahn on March 20, 1928 in Cherokee County, Iowa.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia, Iowa. Verona graduated from Aurelia High School and worked as a telephone operator in Cherokee.

Verona was united in marriage to Arnold Koth on February 14, 1949. This union was blessed with five children: Steve, Brad, Jeff, Kevin, and Melissa.

rm, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hanover, the Ladies Aid, and was very active in the church quilting group. Verona will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
