Phillip Tek Meigs, 68 of Nauvoo, passed away on August 7, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 10, 1948 in Cullman, Alabama. Tek was a long time member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Del Ray School and became a truck driver where he was known by his CB handle "Little Slick." He enjoyed shooting and collecting guns. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 1-2pm at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church, where services will be held at 2:00pm. Brother Shawn Morgan, Brother Kenny Sudduth and Whitney Adkins will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. He is survived by his son, Chad Meigs and his wife Crystal; daughters, Viki Adkins and her husband Neal, and Toni Hagood and her husband Darryl; brother, Tommy (Anne) Meigs; sisters, Becky (Ronnie) Foster and Pam (Horace) Page; He was Pop to 3 grandchildren, Whitney Lee Adkins, Riley Shane Adkins and McKensey "Cole" Hagood; and 2 great grandchildren, Avery Lynn Meigs and Karsen "Karr" Lee Brooks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Vonda Lee Meigs; parents, Homer Howard Meigs and Sylvia Obera Meigs; and son, Howard Shane Meigs.
