Ronald D. "Ron" Brooks, age 65, of Dubuque, Iowa, was called home peacefully at 6:12 a.m., on Friday, August 18, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, surrounded by his loving family. To honor Ron's life, private family services were held. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, is in charge of arrangements.Ron was born on June 19, 1952, in Battle Creek, Michigan, son of Duane Ray and Barbara Jean (Hiscock) Brooks. Ron proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and was lovingly known as "Radar" to his friends. Ronald D. Brooks; retired computer programmer, genuinely kind-hearted, volunteer, animal lover, gardener and dear friend to many.
