Bernard George Watznauer, 80, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, IA. He was born on September 7, 1936 in Fort Madison, IA to William & Genevieve Kramer Watznauer. He married Betty Lou Weidmann on October 11, 1959 in West Point, IA. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 with a rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m., the family to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and a wake service to be held at 7:00 p.m. all on Friday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Fort Madison. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Joseph Phung officiating. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Holy Trinity Catholic Schools or Holy Family Parish.
