Alice E. Fiegel

Alice E. Fiegel, age 91, of Rochester, Minnesota, died on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Samaritan Bethany Arbor Terrace in Rochester. Alice Eva Johnson was born on August 14, 1924, to Walter and Ada (Schmidt) in rural Eyota. Her family later moved to Kasson where she graduated from Kasson High School in 1943. On June 16 1944, she married Lyle Fiegel and together they farmed for 32 years. They later divorced. Alice enjoyed her flower gardens and entertaining family and friends. She was wonderful at making pies, but her passion was fishing and traveling. Alice survived by her daughter, Diane (Charles) Dick of Rochester; son, Jerry (Coralie) Fiegel of Kasson; sister, Avis Babb of Loudon, TN; brother, Earl (Jean) of Kasson; grandchildren, Stephen Dick of Seattle, WA, Andrew Dick of St. Louis Park, Joseph Fiegel of Kasson and Julie (Dennis) Mattila of Watertown, WI. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Memorials are preferred to Arbor Terrace Memory Care, Seasons Hospice or to the donor's choice. A family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Eyota, MN at a later date.[more]
