Hazel Frey

Hazel J. Frey, 82 of Rochester, MN passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis for many years and colon cancer. Hazel Joyce Frey was born May 9, 1935 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England to Charles and Joyce (Baker) Clover. She was raised in England. On May 19, 1956, she married Bill Frey in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. For a short time after their marriage the couple continued to live in England. Bill and Hazel then moved to Rochester, MN where she started working at the Kahler Hotel for 30 years. Hazel had resided at Samaritan Bethany for the last nine years. She enjoyed knitting, cooking baking, socializing and loved to listen to music. Hazel is survived by her children, Dan (Debbie) Frey of Rochester, Jody Frey of Rochester, John (Deborah) Frey of Byron, MN, Lisa (Terry) Grendahl of Stewartville, MN, and Laurie (Doug) Happel of Rochester; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Pat (Bob) Beith, Derek (Linda) Clover and Richard (Eileen) Clover all of England.
