Funeral services for Gordon T. Kranz, 86, of Rochester, MN will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 4:00 7:00pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Gordon Theodore Kranz was born on January 26, 1932 in Rochester, MN to Theodore and Bernice (Bishop) Kranz. He passed away on August 24, 2017 at his home. He married Virginia A. Paul on January 6, 1951 in Iowa and they made their home in Rochester. Gordon worked at the Townhouse Restaurant, where he met Virginia. They owned and operated the Copper Kettle Restaurant together. Then Gordon joined the Rochester Police Department where he served for 24 years, retiring in 1982. He worked with his wife for 26 years at Old Rooster Antiques, and still worked 1 day a week there as one of the dealers. Gordon enjoyed his cats, driving to Nelson Wisconsin for lunch with his wife, and fixing up their antique treasures. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
