Mary S. Kirkhoff

Mary S. (Sensenig) Kirkhoff 94 formerly of Bernville died Monday evening in her Bern Township residence. She was the widow of Leon G. Kirkhoff, who died April 7, 2001. Mary was born in Bern Township on August 4, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Ralph R. and Elda I. (Lash) Sensenig. Surviving are the following children: Ronald R. husband of Eileen Kirkhoff of Riverview Park; Dale S. husband of Betsy Kirkhoff of Duncannon, Dean A. husband of Audrey Kirkhoff of Bernville, Ruth A. wife of Kent Steinhauer of Hamburg, and Doris J. Evans of Bernville. Mary was blessed to have seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Also, there are five step-grandchildren. Mrs. Kirkhoff was predeceased in death by two sister and two brothers; Dorothy Reeser, Jean Kauffman, Wayne Sensenig, and Leon Sensenig. Mrs. Kirkhoff was the owner/operator of Marys Kitchen at the Leesport Farmers Market for five years. Mary attended the former Ontelaunee Township School. Funeral services for Mary will be on Friday at 11:00 A.M. from Bern Lutheran Church, 820 West Leesport Road, Leesport, PA 19533 with Reverend Phyllis Wolkenhover officiating. Interment in Bern Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the church on Friday from 9::30 A.M. until time of service.
