Frank Santoro

Frank Santoro, age 85, of Lavallette, went home to Glory on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Orange, NJ, Mr. Santoro raised his family in Union, relocated to West Point Island and settled in the Lavallette area 23 years ago. He established the Santoro Insurance Agency in 1974 and continued to be a successful independent insurance agent until his passing. As an active member of Ocean Christian Community Church, he ran a soup kitchen and always had a way to help those less fortunate, without compromising their integrity or pride. The neighbors would often wave as they drove by and saw Frank sawing plywood for his next project outside his home. He loved surf fishing and loved cheering on his favorite college football team, the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame, but nothing came close to the love he had for his family and the precious time they spent together. He was predeceased by his parents Saviero and Vincenzia Santoro. Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2PM at the Ocean Christian Community Church, 405 Washington Street, Toms River, NJ 08753 with repast immediately following.
