Joseph P. Esposito, 29 died August 1, 2017 in a homicidal incident, where he heroically put his life-on-the-line defending his friends. Actions speak louder than words, and he certainly "Walked the Walk", and truly defined the type of person that he was. He was born July 1988 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston son of Joseph Esposito of Colorado, and Theresa Esposito of Boiceville. Joseph attended Onteora Schools. At an early age, Joseph began a journey of touring the US with friends. He eventually bought a house and settled in New Orleans in 2005. and generous special individual, who truly was a gift. He had a green thumb and had a beautiful collection of exotic cacti, and a great love of Bonsai and succulents, having honed the ability to remain focused and centered during his early studies of the Japanese language, culture, and art form -Bonsai" He had begun experimenting with artistic blacksmithing, as another creative outlet.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his sisters: Tina Campisi, Rachael Esposito, and Faith Ownsby, maternal grand mother: Tina Cameron, paternal grandparents: Tessie and Pat Esposito, and his best friend and girlfriend: Shannon Shufeldt. He was uncle to: Valentina Papa, Aniyah and Soul Glenn, Juliana Campisi, and Zion Esposito.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Joseph will be held on Sunday Sept. 10 at 1pm at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia.
