Lucille Sumpter, 86, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Barton pastor of Rolling Hills Community Church in Fort Dodge officiating. Burial will be in the mausoleum at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Lucille Alice Klehm, the daughter of Clarence and Alice (Dietz) Klehm was born on November 14, 1930 in Bloomington, Illinois. One month later, Lucille's mother died. In 1933, Lucille and her father moved to Paton, Iowa so her father could take over the family farm. Lucille graduated from the Paton High School 1949 and on June 19, 1960 she was united in marriage Charles Sumpter in Paton, Iowa. The couple lived most of their life in Fort Dodge.
