dancing, cooking, sewing and making quilts. Her faith was very important to her. She was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church in Spragueville where she served as the church bookkeeper until its recent closing. Additionally, she was a member of Lutheran Brotherhood, Spragueville Legion Auxiliary, and the Town and Country Twirlers. She and "Shorty" operated the food stand at the Preston Little League and men's softball games for many years, and were always avid supporters of the Preston Trojans. They had also served as Parade Marshalls at the Preston High School Homecoming several years ago. Those left to honor Dorothy's memory include her sons, Doug (Cathy) Beck of Wyoming, MN, Dick (Giny) Beck of Anamosa, IA, and Dan (Carla) Beck of Preston, IA; 8 grandchildren, Matt Beck, Bryan (Jade) Beck, Jeff (Kelly) Beck, Bradley (Sara) Beck, Michelle (Jeremy) Samuels, Russie (Tony) Reisgies, Alicia (Danny) Adams and Brice (Falicia) Beck; 12 great-grandchildren, Damen, Natalie, Trevor, Hudson, Dustin, Isla, Brooklyn, Landon, Jace, Sevi, Andee and Avery; and a brother, Charles (Delores) Reistroffer of Maquoketa, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Robert, Donald and Allen, and sisters Jerrine Boyert, Betty Mootz and Lois Tebbe.
